Abstract (EN)
With the rise in environmental awareness today, the impact of waste on nature, humans, and natural resources has become even more significant. This awareness has led to the emergence of innovative approaches aimed at protecting natural resources and preventing waste. Industrial symbiosis stands out as an environmentally friendly method among these approaches. This method allows waste from one business to be used as raw material by another business, aiming to minimize environmental pollution as well as use resources more efficiently. Industrial symbiosis encourages cooperation for a sustainable future as well as economic gains. Aksaray Province is one of Turkey's rapidly developing industrial regions, and especially after the earthquake disaster on February 6, it has become a favorite destination for medium and large-scale industrial investors due to its status as a priority investment region under the Regional Incentive Law, its logistics capabilities, and its geographical location. In this growing industrial city, this study examined industrial activities in Aksaray Province and analyzed companies within the OSB to identify collaboration potentials. In line with this study, sustainable recycling models that reduce environmental damage and create added value have been identified. These models aim to contribute to regional development in Aksaray by addressing environmental issues and emphasizing the importance of industrial symbiosis.
