Abstract (EN)

Bronchiolitis, is a clinical case which is seen at especially under 2 years old children, mostly caused by viral factors and characterized with fast respiration, retraction on chest, wheezing and it goes on with inflammation of bronchioles. Basic cure of acute bronchiolitis is an assistive cure and contains hydration and oxygenation regulations and keep tracking the patient about probable complications. High morbidite reasons like hospitalize requirement, proceeding semptoms for weeks, causing nutrition problems, precipitating seconder bacterial infections, expose the importance of illness. This study purposes consideration the effect of laboratory findings on curing 85 patients who applied between October 2013 and March 2014 to our emergency service with cough, breating, dispne complaints and are treated with acute bronchiolitis diagnostic. In the distribution according to the number of leukocytes, although number of leukocytes in 75 patients were seen as normal, leukocytes were detected in 10 cases. In the distribution according to the number of lymphocytes, although there were no lymphocytosis in 56 (66%) patients, it was detected lymphocytes in 29 patients. In the distribution according to the CRP values, although CRP was found as positive in 43 (51%) cases, it was positive in 42 cases (49%). After making a comparison between the patients who has leukocytosis and without leukocytosis, lymphocytosis and without lymphocytosis, CRP levels of positive and negative ones, couldn't find a meaningful statistical difference between illness score, RNpM (respiration number per minute), PHB (peak heart beat), SaO2 (oxygen saturation) values before cure and after cure (p>0,05). In conclusion, respond to the cure of hypoxia that occurs as respirational at small and middle acute bronchiolitis cases isn't different between patients with leukocytosis and without leukocytosis, lymphocytosis and without lymphocytosis, CRP levels of positive and negative ones.
