Abstract (EN)

In this study, the relationship between perceived social support and life purpose and posttraumatic growth was investigated. In this context, the gender, age, educational status, income levels, duration of benefiting from the institution, reasons for leaving intstitution and the relationship of perceived social support, life purpose and post-traumatic growth levels of individuals with institutional care experience participated in the study. A total of 104 people, 46 males and 58 females, aged between 18 and 43, participated in the study. Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale, Life Purposes Scale and Post Traumatic Growth Scale were used in the study. As a result of the correlation and regression analysis; It has been observed that life purpose affects posttraumatic growth. There was no relationship between perceived social support and posttraumatic growth. It was observed that there was a relationship between the gender and marital status of the participants and posttraumatic growth. Regarding the gender variable, it was observed that female participants had higher posttraumatic growth than male participants. In terms of the marital status variable, it was found that married individuals posttraumatic growth was more common than single individuals.
