Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of different casting speeds and temperatures on the mechanical and metallurgical properties of two different aluminum alloys commonly used in various fields were investigated. Aluminum alloys 6061 and 6063 were cast using the DC casting method. After the casting process, the material was subjected to a homogenization heat treatment to ensure the uniformity of particle distribution. Artificial aging treatment was applied to the samples produced by the extrusion production method. Sample preparations were carried out according to the standards. Hardness and tensile tests were performed on the obtained samples. Macro and microstructural examinations were conducted using SEM and EDS methods. The hardness results were compared with yield and tensile stresses to analyze the mechanical and metallurgical effects of the modified parameters on the aluminum profiles.
