Abstract (EN)
Anatolia has hosted many civilizations. These civilizations made unique water structures to meet their needs. Some of these water structures were built during the Hittite period in Central Anatolia; some in Urartu period in Eastern Anatolia; some in Western and Southern Anatolia, in Helen, Rome and Early; some in Selcuk period in Central and Eastern Anatolia; some in during Ottoman period many places in Turkey. Some of the water structures such as dams, channels, aqueducts, tunnels still active. Property Karakuyu Dam, Şamran Channel, Çevlik Tunnel, Mağlova Aqueducts are some of the leading structures. Turkey in terms of historical water structures making it an open, interesting place to explore.
