Abstract (EN)

In this research, which is aimed to determine the best model for defining lactation curve in Anatolian buffaloes, lactation curve parameters were determined with six mathematical models. For this goal, test day milk yield records of Anatolian Buffalo cows Which were reared between 2015-2016 in Tokat province were used. In this research, lactation curves were defined using Wood, Exponential, Cobby and Le Du, Quadratic, Logarithmic Linear and Wilmink, In this resaerch, coefficient of determination (R2) and residual standard deviation (RSD) coefficients were used as model comparison criteria. The highest R2 and lowest RSD values were obtained with Wood model and Cobby and Le Du models. Therefore, the best models that describe lactation of Anatolian buffaloes were identified as Wood and Cobby and Le Du models In summary, it is considered that the parameters determined with Wood and Cobby and Le Du models will contribute to breeding studies in these herds Key words: Lactation curve, Anatolian buffalo, coefficient of determination, residual standard deviation
