Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed at examining kinds of children books their physical andcontent features by researching literature, in addition to this it is aimed to determinemothers? opinions on the importance of chosing children books and reading.Sample of research is occured by total 200 students? mothers whose children arechosen by chance from five primary school in the center of Afyon.According to the results of study, most of mothers greduated from high schooland they are housewife, have two children, their level income in a month is 400-800YTL. In addition to this, before buying books to their children, mothers never read thatbooks, they never have enough time for reading book to their children, also they have asmall library in their house, give enough pocket Money and decide to buy books withtheir family.As a result of this study, there is a 0.10 meaninful difference between mothers?job, education, level of income, the number of children in the house and mothers?opinions about chosing children book. Generally, mothers? opinions are not suitable forchosing criterions of book.
