A research on agriculture structure, production and determination of mechanization properties in Antalya province

Today, since mechanization level is one of the most crucial indications of the productivity in agricultural sectors, mechanization, in economic sense, cannot be considered separately. Mechanization level is one of the most important indications of the productivity fertility. In this research, it has been aimed that in Antalya region the agricultural structure, production and mechanization properties of the farms will be determined to form a database. For this reason, in order to reveal the agricultural features of the region, face to face interviews have been had with 246 business enterprises chosen at random in 15 villages of 5 towns. According to the analysis results obtained from surveys made in the sectors, it seems that agricultural production have been conducted as crop fields in small areas, gardening and greenhouses in the region. It was calculated that the average farm size 010 hectares, the number of tractors for per enterprise in the research area is 1.06, average tractor power is 43.21 kW, the average engine power for per unit area is 5.67 kW, the number of agriculture machines per tractor 5.84 pieces, agriculture machines weight per tractor 3.55 tons. Tractors of average power and size are used in Antalya region. These tractors have been located in 50.1-60.0 kW groups as about 41%.
