Abstract (EN)

In this study, geotechnical properties of loose sand, clay and organic origin soils in Kundu district of Antalya have been investigated by field and laboratory experiments. The area which is close to the Aksu fault zone, has experienced quick construction facilities and ground investigation works have been inadequate for many reasons or wrong results have been obtained. In the study 10 boreholes of 20 m depth have been drilled and samples taken in every 1.50 m depth have been examined in the laboratory. In addition, Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and the Cone Penetration Test (CPT) are performed in the field. From the result of the field and laboratory tests; index, strength and compressibility properties of the soil has been determined. Probabilistic liquefaction analysis were performed on a total number of 487 SPT data. A database has been created and maps showing liquefaction severity index, soil classification and SPT-N data for specified depths were prepared by means of Geographical Information System technique. It is aimed that the findings of the study will be beneficial to Antalya in areas of urban planning, site surveys, infrastructure design, ground improvement and similar aspects.KEYWORDS: Antalya, SPT, Sand, CPT, Kundu, CBS, liquefaction
