The Murgul district folklore of Artvin province (text- review)

Folklore covers material and spiritual values for all kinds of cultural of country and a geography of the region. By evaluating these products in various methods, it analyzes and reviews them. The work of our named The Murgul District Folklore of Artvin Province (Text-Review) is the detection and observing of the output reflecting the material and spiritual cultural values of the county In the first part of our study, the geographical location of Murgul district, its history linked to Artvin province, social structure, economic and administrative status and population are discussed in general way. In the second part of our study, poetical and prosaic products compiled from the district related to folk literature are included. Classified products are listed alphabetically on basis of the first letters of initial verses and are reviewed. In the third part of our study, beliefs linked to animate and inanimate creatures are included. In the fourth part folk medicine, folk dances in the fifth part, children's games in the sixth part and seventh part regarding public cuisine are discussed. Since there is no comprehensive research on the Murgul District compiled, the aim of our study is to shed light on research and language studies that can be carried out for the province.
