Abstract (EN)

Communication is a foundation stone of the development and civilisation of humankind. All of the societies through the times have became more civilised as the communication networks sophisticated. On this context the path of modernisation of Ottomans drawned by the annoucment of Tanzimat wich lead the emergence of Ottoman publishing. The first known official Ottoman Newspaper Takvim-i Vekayi published in 1831. Many changes has been occured as the first publishings emerges. Many developments has been seen in the era of Abdulhamit the II. Altouh there werent many Journals on the shelves because of some cencorship on the force, there were exist. One them is Zerrat Journal wich is the main theme of this work. Published by the Sureyya Bey of Avlonya, who has Albanian origin, and importance in the area of Ottoman politics between 1886-1887, the Journal contents on history, literatüre, civilisations, kinds of statistics and some biographies. This work spans on the transcription and evaluation of the Journal. After the introduction the work has two chapters. İn introduction section is includes the aimof the work's, subject, methodology and informations on the history of publishing. The first chapter is consisted of the information on author of the Journal of Zerrat, publishing eras overwiew, and scope. And there is the transcribed text of the. After the summary section there are list of bibliography and dictionary of therms. And finally there is appendix for further enrichment of the work. The work is reflects the efforts that put by the Ottomans for the modernisation of publishing on the context of evaluation of Zerrat Journal's transcription text on the angel of culture and history.
