European Union competition policies and measurement of competition power on export between Turkey and EU

This dissertation aims at exploring European Union?s Competition Policy, evaluatingcompetition power and its effects on trade which is between Turkey and EuropenUnion. At the beginning, meaning of competition and competition power are explainedand then the national and international competition power are defined. On the next partto give some information about European Union Competition policy. In this caseespecially, explained antitrust rules, merger controls, reorganisation of dg competition,dumping/anti-dumping and state aids. Last part of this dissertation, we used quarerlydata between 1991:1-2005:2 about Turkish import and export. Then we derivetedTurkish import and export functions. Analyzing the regresion results: there is no pricecompetition between Turkey and European Union. We would focused on non-pricecompetition insturements.
