Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT INVESTIGATIONS ON EFFECTIVENESS OF AZADIRACHTIN AGAINST SOME VEGETABLE PESTS M.S. in Plant Protection May, 2001, 66 Pages In this study effectiveness of azadirachtin was assessed against different development stages of Bemisia tabaci (Genn), Tetranychus cinnabarinus Boisd, and Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande). Doses of azadirachtin (10, 20, 40, 60 ppm) were applied on eggs, immature and adult stages of these pests. According to these results, azadirachtin affected immature stages and inhibited the emergence of adult and reduced the egg hathcing except eggs of B. tabaci. According to the results, young instar, of all these pests were more sensitive than old instars. Furthermore the repellent and oviposition deterrence effects of neem against adults were determined.
