Composition peculiarities of Azerbaijani picture carpets

Azerbaijani Carpet Art has very ancient and rich heritage. Although historical political events, difficulties and constraints Azerbaijani nation made more pure national carpet traditions and transferred these tradition to the next generation. Exists in daily life of the people. Target of the thesis is to get closely familiar this traditional cultural product in detail. Its is essential for me to choose this topic of the thesis, so that I live in Baku and I am closely familiar with this field. Although core of the research is Azerbaijani carpets with paintings, thesis covers carpet art with deep and wide history. After provision of grounded information about carpet art and peculiarities of Azerbaijan, we stay on the carpet art of Azerbaijan with paintings. Determining different specimens, I take 14 different carpets to the research. Collecting information about history, present condition, proportions, used materials, colour, motive, figures, subject and composition of the studying specimens, I evaluate them in the casting tables, show findings. Sometimes, I add my opinions. Qualitative research methods are used in the research. Azerbaijan Carter Art Resources, articles, thesis, art publications, newspaper news regarding with topic, catalogues and publishing are researched, they got at the result of mutual meetings with weavers, collection owners, conclusion of literature investigation, made at libraries and various museums with relevant data in the research technique. Internet is used for information, that is not available in books and publishing. There is no complex research, devoted to Azerbaijani carpets with painting while thesis research. Therefore, I consider necessary to carry out such research. I believe that developed thesis will enlighten this field and will be resource for the future researches regarding with Azerbaijani carpets with painting.
