Bakım onarım harcamalarının teknoloji adaptasyonunun optimal zamanlamasına etkisi

In this thesis, we use two stage optimal control techniques to analyze optimaltiming of technology adoption under embodied technical change taking into ac-count the endogenous nature of depreciation. We show that a more efficientmaintenance service reducing the depreciation rate postpones the optimal timingof technology adoption. In this respect, we study to what extent can maintenanceof the existing capital stock be a substitute for adoption of new technologies.Keywords: technology adoption, two stage optimal control, maintenance, invest-ment.
