Balkan immigrant dialects of Balıkesir

In the study, Balkan immigrant villages located in Balıkesir province were identified, and compilations were made from 45 participants by visiting 34 villages in 12 districts. The compiled materials were transcribed into writing with transliteration symbols. The study consists of Introduction, Phonetics, Morphology, Results, Texts, and Glossary sections. The introduction section discusses migrations from the Balkans to Anatolia and to Balıkesir province. In the Phonetics and Morphology sections, the compiled materials are examined. The results section evaluates the results obtained from the examined materials. The Texts section contains numbered texts compiled from the villages and transcribed into writing with transliteration symbols. The Glossary section includes words selected from the compiled materials whose meanings are unknown or difficult to understand.
