Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to reconstruct the forest road network in the conversion of Coppice Forests to High Forests. The forest land and the forest road network located in Yaylacık Forest Enterprise Chief of Tokat Forest Enterprise Directorate in Amasya Regional Forest Directorate was determined as study area. In this work stages, firstly, the criteria-decision variables (ground slope, aspect, road density, road space, land use, distance to the main stream) to be used in the forest road network planning were determined. Each criterion was scored and rated within. In relations between couples, three different ways of weight calculation were made. The values of decision variables were transferred to GIS environment. Linear Fuzzy Logic Memberships were determined by using Fuzzy Theory and the social cost surface was created. Constraints were determined for the cost surface in order not to exceed 12% vertically. Wood storage in the study area was selected as the central point and 64 nodes (landings) were determined by using LCP. Forest road network was planned temperately in three planning periods with 10 years intervals. As a result of the periods, the rate of opening for the management was calculated as 67,22 % and road density was 17,07 m/ha. Expert opinion and road density was achieved by applying the optimal ratio for commissioning. Using the scope of determining optimum route based on the envisioned cost surface, a new model was developed in planning forest road networks.
