Examination of violin methods used in beginner violin education

Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to examine the violin methods used in beginner level violin education in Turkey under various headings in terms of content. This thesis, written to contribute to the violin literature, was examined with data obtained from domestic and foreign sources. This study in the survey model was written following a descriptive method. The data of the research were put into a scientific and academic writing using the document analysis method. The sample of the research was limited to 29 violin methods that were accessible. The analysis of the research data was carried out by transferring the data in the books to the tables according to various categories by creating tables and musical analyzes were made. As a result of the research, it was concluded that 23 of the 29 beginner level violin education books that constituted the sample of the study were at an easy level, 5 were at an intermediate level and 1 was at a difficult level. In addition, 6 of the books examined contain educational content suitable for the 4-14 age range, 14 for the 15-64 age range, and 2 for the 4-6 age range, and appeal to the 4-14 age range and the 15-64 age range at the same time.
