Abstract (EN)

Genus Colchicum has a commercial value in terms of laboratory reagent consumables used in research studies because of the alkaloids it contains and many taxa are common in our country. In this study, some endemic taxa from Turkey; Colchicum baytopiorum (C.D.Brickell), Colchicum davisii (C.D.Brickell) and Colchicum lingulatum subsp. rigescens (K.Perss.) genome, derived from leaves, sequenced with next generation sequencing methods and genomic DNA from a chloroplast DNA has been extracted. With the obtained data, it is aimed to reveal the differences and similarities between chloroplast DNAs through some genes which are plant markers of chloroplast DNA, to shed light on phylogenetic studies and to take a step for emergence of new markers. In this study, genomic DNA was isolated from leaf samples of 3 different Colchicum taxa, and DNA whole sequence of sample materials was extracted from Illumina HiSeq2000 new generation sequencing (NGS) device and bioinformatics analysis of these data was performed with CLC Genomics program and interpreted.
