The effects of different biological preparation applications on grafted sapling propagation in pots of some grape cultivars

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine that the situation of graft compatibility of Alphonse Lavallée and Red Globe (Vitis vinifera L.) grape cvs grafted on 110 R and 1103 Pa rootstocks in nursery conditions and, that the effects of Biovam, Endo root soluble and Endo root soluble + Vitormone mycorrhiza applications on sapling yield and sapling quality. In Alphonse Lavallée and Red Globe cvs, after stratification, callusing rates and rooting values of saplings grafted on 110 R rootstock were found lower than that of 1103 Pa. After stratification, grafted cuttings were planted in tubes filled with perlit and torf and put under the mist spraying system in the greenhouse. Mycorrhiza applications were applied at the planting time. Root and shoot characters of mature summer saplings were recorded. In both cvs grafted on 110 R rootstocks had shorter shoots and lower root ratio, dry and fresh root weights and root numbers than that of 1103 Pa. Biovam 3 g and ERS + Vitormone resulted in increases of shoot diameter of Alphonse Lavallée cv. grafted on 1103 Pa. Summer sapling yield ranged between 33% and 55%. In winter saplings, while shoot characters did not show any differences among the rootstocks, ones grafted on 110 R had the lower the rooting characters. However, all winter saplings had first grade sapling characters. Biovam 5 g increased the fresh root weight of winter sapling of Alphonse Lavallée grafted on 110 R.
