Abstract (EN)
Rabdi scientific and technological developments in the 21st century bring with it the necessity of changing the educational attitude and the educational aims. In this new educational approach, it is aimed to educate individuals who know what to learn, how and why to learn, self-confidence, academic self-efficacy and high knowledge, which reveal the information they learn, instead of those who accept ready information. These characteristics of the information society are critical thinking and they emphasize the concepts of academic self-efficacy. For this reason, the most important function of today's education should be to raise individuals who are critical thinkers and who have high academic self-efficacy beliefs. They may gain critical thinking skills and academic self-efficacy beliefs. In order for teachers to perform these tasks effectively, they must first have acquired critical thinking skills and academic self-efficacy beliefs during their teacher education. This research, physical education and sports teacher candidates' critical thinking tendencies and academic self-efficacy according to some variables. In other words, physical education and sport are to determine the tendency of teachers to think critically and the factors influencing their academic self-efficacy. The research study conducted in the screening model, Bartın University has created physical education and sports teacher candidates. The sample is composed of 178 teacher candidates, corresponding to about 64% of the universe. The research data is used to determine the personal characteristics of the teacher candidates, "Personal Information Form" The "Critical Thinking Tendency (EDE) Scale" by Semerci (2016) and Developed by Owen and Froman (1988) and Academic Self-efficacy Scale "which was adapted by Ekici (2012) to Turkish. Personality characteristics of the "Personal Information Form" teacher candidates, consisting of a total of 10 questions, The "Critical Thinking Tendency (EDE) Scale" consisting of 49 questions and The "Academic Self-efficacy Scale" consisting of 33 questions also determined their critical thinking tendencies and academic self-efficacy. SPSS 15 program was used in the analysis of the obtained data. Binary cluster comparison, "Independent Samples T-Test" between independent groups, double cluster OneWay ANOVA was used. In the case that the test statistic obtained as a result of the variance analysis is significant, in order to determine which group the difference originates from Turkey HSD test wave is applied Pearson's correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship between critical thinking tendencies and academic self-efficacy. Research result, physical education and sports teacher candidates, gender, mother and father education, sports habits, sports group, regular reading habits affecting their tendency to think critically. Factors affecting academic self-efficacy gender and regular reading habits. candidates' academic self-efficacy with critical thinking inclination medium-level, positive and meaningful relationship.
