Abstract (EN)
Entrepreneurship is one of the topics that have attracted and searched in business management literature, especially after the 1980s. The concept of sports industry, which is closely related to entrepreneurship, is thought to be a multi-faceted and it is considered that sport is an important sector in terms of entrepreneurship and accordingly sports-based entrepreneurship has become the foreground. Entrepreneurship in general; identification of entrepreneurship, identification of entrepreneurial characteristics, and so on. In the literature, many variables affecting an individual's entrepreneurship are discussed. One of the most important of these variables is thought to be personality traits that the individual possesses. Therefore, it was aimed to investigate the effects of personality traits of Bartın University Physical Education and Sports School students on entrepreneurship tendencies. The sample of the research; A total of 685 students, 231 female and 454 male, selected in 2017-2018 Academic Year Fall semester and selected by simple unselected sampling method constitute (X̄age = 21,425). Scale form was used as data collection tools and this form consists of three parts. In the first part of the scale form "Personal Information Form"; "The Big Five Inventory (BFI)", developed by John, Donahue and Kentle (1991) and adapted to Turkish by Sumer and Sumer (2005) in the second part of the scale form; In the third part of the scale form, "Entrepreneurship Scale for University Students" developed by Yılmaz and Sünbül (2009) are included. Correlational research model was used in the study. According to the characteristics of the variables in the analysis of research data; t-Test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Analysis, Simple Linear Regression Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis were applied. The Tukey Multiple Comparison Test was used to determine which groups the differences between the groups were between. The level of significance was accepted as 0,05 in interpreting the findings related to the research. When the findings are examined; between the mean scores of entrepreneurship tendency according to department, work experience, class, family residence, maternity occupation, entrepreneurial status at home, maternal education status, graduated high school type, personal income, family income, demand for undergraduate education, entrepreneurship course taking, course taking status related to business and course taking status related to economics and / or finance variables of participants were statistically significant differences were found. However, it was determined that there were no statistically significant differences between participants' average scores of entrepreneurship tendency according to gender, father's occupation, father's educational status, and actively (licensed) sporting status variables. Statistically significant correlations were found between participants' age and experiential openness, outwardness, self-discipline, neuroticism and compatibility personality subscales with entrepreneurship tendency points average. It was also found that the personality traits of the participants had statistically significant effects on entrepreneurship tendencies. As a result; research findings indicate that the personality traits of the participants are influential variables on the entrepreneurial tendencies.
