Islamic theology interpretation in Bagavi tafsir

Imam Bagavî is a many-minded scholar who lived at the end of the 5th century and at the beginning of the 6th century.He wrote works in the fields of fiqh, hadith and commentary; he was recorded on the books as a fakih, muhaddis and glossator.He wrote most of his works in Arabic and some of them in Persian. The author's work is the subject of this study is the interpretation of Meâlimü't-Tenzil. Bagavî's competence in different fields reflected in his this work,too. He criticized the rumors with the identity of Muhaddis and tried not to receive information containing Israeliat. He also focused on the verses of Ahkam as a Shafii Fakih. Bagavî, who has a work in the field of the qiraah( reading Qur'an) enriched his interpretation with the information he gave in the field of the qiraah.The highest benefit in the commentary is the exegesis of Sa'lebi (v.427) who passed away shortly before his birth.Bagavi criticized some of the narratives in this interpretation with the effect of being Muhaddis and did not take his work. Both the scientific intake of Bagavî in different fields and the period in which he lived make his interpretation worth examining in every aspect. In this study, Bagavî's commentary was examined in terms of theology. In the examination, some basic issues that led to the formation and separation of the first frigates/itikâdî sects in Islamic history were examined in the light of the relevant verses.While the Kalami views were revealed, basic Kalam books were also used.As a resûlt, it is revealed that Bagavi, whose views are said to be incompatible with the Esharia by the effect of being a predecessor or being a Shafi faqih,are also in that way in general, but also in accordance with maturidism.As a natural consequence of this, it has been confirmed that it is not related to any sect. In addition, the organic link between sciences and theology sciences was once again revealed.
