Abstract (EN)
All structures deform under load effect. These deformations are elastic if loads are smaller than the specific values. When abnormal loading conditions, especially in the earthquake, structure will lose its stiffness and strength then damages will occur. In this thesis, firstly background information about damages occured at structures due to earthquakes, determination of damage level and reinforcement methods are given and then solutions related to reinforcement of the concrete structures are presented. In this study, current condition of building studied under the scope of application study and three different reinforcement methods are examined. These methods, (i) adding load-bearing wall, (ii) only column exterior sheathing and (iii) adding load-bearing wall plus column exterior sheathing, are analyzed by Sta4Cad software. Results obtained are given as tables. In the conclusion part of thesis study, statically best reinforcement model for the examined structure is suggested.
