Abstract (EN)
In this research, the effect of mass changes in vehicles on driving comfort through suspension systems was investigated. Mathematical modeling has been done on the suspension system of passenger cars. Experimental findings regarding the damping values of the suspension system were obtained together with the test studies and the results were compared. Two different passenger vehicles were used in the research, the test studies carried out under 50 km/h and 80 km/h on two different road profiles. Were completed by increasing the mass with the change in the number of drivers and passengers in the average acceleration values on the drive were measured with the HVM 100 vibration measuring device and the pad accelerometer, and analyzed by converting them into numerical findings and graphics in the Blaze software program. According to the analyzes made; It has been observed that as the mass increase in passenger cars increases, the damping ratio of the suspension system increases, and accordingly, there is a decrease in the average acceleration values on the driver and the feeling of comfort increases. Studies to be carried out to increase driving comfort are mentioned. When the test studies were examined, it was observed that the increase in mass increased the driving comfort and the vibrations caused by different parameters on the driver and passenger decreased.
