Factors affecting the adoption of blockchain technology: an empiric study in terms of security

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this thesis is to determine the factors affecting user intentions against the use of blockchain technology in internet banking transactions. In the study, quantitative research methods were followed and data were collected with an online questionnaire. Research universe; Turkey are customers of banks operating in general. The sample of the study consists of 356 people selected by simple random method using internet banking. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted by confirmatory factor and Structural Equation Modeling. The data were collected under nine factors: 'Behavioral Intention', 'Social Norms',' Perceived Usefulness ',' Perceived Trust ',' Perceived Innovativeness ',' Perceived Ease of Use ',' Knowledge Level ',' Perceived Confidentiality 'and' Perceived Satisfaction '. According to the results obtained from the study, there is a positive relationship between perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness and behavioral intention, a positive relationship between perceived usefulness and behavioral intention, a positive relationship between innovativeness and perceived usefulness, a positive relationship between confidentiality and utility, trust and perceived usefulness. There is a positive relationship between social norm factor and perceived usefulness and behavioral intention, and a positive relationship between satisfaction factor and behavioral intention, and finally, a positive relationship between knowledge level and behavioral intention.
