Abstract (EN)
Kidneys are paired organs that related with excretion. And the changes on it?s volume was important for the quality at life. In this study we aimed to estimate the total volume at the kidneys are the volume ratios between the regions at the kidneys.(cortex, medulla and pelvis). We perform that aim on six Pirlak sheeps kidneys; three at thems right and three at thems left kidneys volume was calculated both Archimedian Principles and Cavalieri Principles. The results were compared between these methods and other studies and were found apprepriate. The mean volume of the kidneys was found as mean 79,66ml, by using Archimedian Principles and 76.6ml by using Cavalieri Principles, respectively. Our results showed that using the Cavalieri Principle is simple and unbias and it is the only method that can calculate the ratios between the regions of the kidney.
