Financial consequences of divorce material and moral compensation

The concept of family and domestic relations that constitute family law's main subject explained within the frame of principles that involve family law. Divorce, opinions on divorce, principles that involve divorce, reasons of divorce and procedures about divorce case which are the end of conjugal union analyzed and they constitued the main subject of pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages with mention of pecuniary conclusions of divorce case. Purpose of our study is to contribute to literature for having more equitable results both in theory and practice about pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages based on divorce case. The literature was reviewed before our study and the decisions of the Court of Cassation, existing sources in the doctrine, articles, master's and doctoral theses, digital sources and current Resmi Gazete publications were used as sources. The concept, principles, reasons, procedures and conclusions of divorce are mentioned with following explanations on the concept of family and Turkish Family Law in the first part of our study. In the second part, pecuniary damage which is one of the financial conclusions is mentioned and goals, conditions, determination of the amount, ways of payment and procedures of pecuniary damage on divorce is mentioned. Lastly in the third part, non-pecuniary damage which is one of the financial conclusions is explained, goals, conditions, determination of the amount, ways of payment and procedures of non-pecuniary damage on divorce is mentioned..
