Abstract (EN)

In this study, for voltage regulation and load compensation in the distribution networks, distribution static synchronous compensator (D-STATCOM) that has diode clamped with three levels and that is in the power of ± 55 kVAr was designed and its simulation was carried out in the medium of Matlab/Simulink. D-STATCOM designed is driven by sinusoidal pulse width modulation (CPS-SPWM) that is in the structure of inverter with diode clamped that has three levels and whose inverter has a phase-shift carrier. D-STATCOM control unit consists of three sub-control units under the synchronous reference frame; DA-line voltage controller, AA voltage controller, and current controller. In these control units totally 4 pieces of controllers are used. In this thesis, D-STATCOM was first modeled for voltage regulation and then for load composition. On these models, the performances of classic PI and the fuzzy PI controllers with 25 rules and 49 rules were compared to each other according to the criteria of time to sit down. In the model of voltage regulation, for regulating DA-line voltage and OBN voltage, it was observed that the best performance was provided with 49 rule based fuzzy PI controller. In the model of load composition, for regulating DA-line voltage, it was observed that 25 and 49 rule based fuzzy PI controllers had better performance than classic PI controller.
