Abstract (EN)
Different factors play a role in the formation of works of art. One of these factors is the psychological elements that the artist is nourished by. One of the psychological elements is the element of pain. Although the concept of pain is wanted to be postponed in daily life, it is seen that it has been revealed in different fields of art throughout history since ancient times, and this phenomenon, which is a part of life, continues to be a narrative expression in contemporary art. Within the scope of this thesis, the effects of various emotions and motivations in contemporary art, specifically how the image of pain is reflected in artistic forms, has been examined. The aim of the study is to emphasize the importance of the concept of internalized pain in conveying emotions through art in different disciplines. In the light of these researches, how the element of pain is handled in contemporary art, how it is reflected in ceramic forms, and the works of artists in fields such as painting, ceramics and sculpture are examined and supported by 11 different personal applications.
