Abstract (EN)

Appearing following the most sensitive period of the Ottoman Empire, Fetret Period and becoming famous with Sheikh Bedrettin incident, Bedreddin Simâvi is also a scientist who has important works on Islamic law. In this study we are looking into his views of Islamic family law based on his work Camiu'l Fusúleyn which is about Islamic jurisdiction law. The fact that there isn't enough information on him in classical history sources has also caused problems on his later works There has been comments in favour of him and opposing him; however these comments didn't make the subject any clearer, in contrast they made it more complicated then it was. Camiu'l Fusúleyn which is composed of the two works compiled in the title of "el-Fusùl by el-Imadi and el-Üsruşeni includes Bedreddin's unique views. Sheikh Bedreddin combined these two works, avoiding repetition by using phrases like "Ekulu ( I say that)" to emphasize his own views and sometimes also made explanations and comments on the texts of the works. In addition he made deductions and comments on Hanefi Islamic law. Future Ottoman Islamic scholars contributed to these comments by defending or criticizing them. In this study Sheikh Bedreddin as a person of law studied on the basis of Islamic family law and is introduced to the world.
