Abstract (EN)
Mineralogic, whole-rock major and trace element and radiometric dating analyses were performed on the Crbonifereous and Late Jurassic rocks of the Çamlıkaya İntruzif Complex in the eastern Sakarya Zone to evaluate origin and geodynamic processes. LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon dating method yielded ages of 344.8±5.9 Ma for the K-feldspar alkaline granites and 152.7±2.2 Ma for the granodiorite-tonalites. All the rocks are I-type in character. The Carboniferous rocks show peraluminous and high-K calc-alkaline to shoshonitic tendency, whereas the Late Jurassic rocks exhibit a metaluminous and calc-alkaline to high-K calc-alkaline signature. All the rocks are characterized by enrichments of large ion lithophile elements (LILE) (Rb, Ba, K ve Th), light rare earth elements [(LREE) (La/Yb)n] and depletion of high field strange elements [(HFSE) (Ta, Nb, Hf, Sm ve Yb)], negative Nb and Ti anomalies. All the geochemical data combined with regional data, the Çamlıkaya Intruzif Complex in the eastern Sakarya Zone are generated by a parental melt of partial fusion of middle crust in response to closure of Rheic Ocean and partial melting of an enriched mantle wedge triggered by slab break-off of Paleotethyan Oceanic lithosphere.
