Abstract (EN)

This thesis aims to determine the in-concrete disposal of the coal ash waste (CAW) generated in tea factories and its effect on concrete properties. After the physical, chemical and morphological properties of CAW were determined, a road design where all slump degrees are S1 was made by being substituted at the rates of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% to 0-1 mm fine aggregate. The intensity grades and pH values of fresh concrete were measured and was cast in cylinder, cube and prismatic molds. Schmidt hammer, ultrasonic pulse velocity, capillary water absorption, compression, deflection, splitting tensile strength and abrassion strength tests were carried out on the concrete samples hardened on the 7th and 28th days. Furthermore, the heavy metal leakage of 0% and 50% CAW substituted concrete was measured. It is detected that the heavy metal leakage was significantly reduced when used asc a fine aggregate substitute in concrete, eliminatining environmental effects.
