The alienation in Cengiz Aytmatov's Gün Olur Asra Bedel and Cengiz Dağcı's Yurdunu Kaybeden Adam: A comparative study

Abstract (EN)

The importance of Cengiz Dağcı and Cengiz Aytmatov in Turkish world literature is an undeniable fact. In this study, It was aimed to find answers to questions what the alienation phenomena in Cengiz Aytmatov's novel "Gün Olur Asra Bedel" and Cengiz Dağcı's novel "Yurdunu Kaybeden Adam" are, how the theme of alienation is handled in the literary texts of the turkish world and how this theme is reflected in the characters. When we were explaining the notion of alienation that forms the core of our thesis, the views of sociology and psychology experts were included. In this section, several psychology and sociology literature was scanned and the obtained datas were taken and interpreted. The studies of the Crimean and Kırgız literature in the field of prose were searched.The biographies and works of Cengiz Aytmatov and Cengiz Dağcı were examined. All works of Cengiz Aytmatov and Cengiz Dağcı were summarized. In the last part of the thesis, the alienated characters were identified in the novels called "Gün Olur Asra Bedel" and "Yurdunu Kaybeden Adam" and interpreted by quoting from aforementioned novels. In the conclusion section of our thesis study, some inferences were made in the light of the information obtained.
