Abstract (EN)

Mister Cevat Abbas who graduated from Manastır War Academy as lieutenant degree took part in Balkan Wars I. After the beginning of World War I, he was charged as adjutant of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha who has already met before with him. Thereafter, Suvla War, he resumed his charge as adjutant of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha and he accompanied the things of historically important person. Then by Çanakkale front, he resumed his charge with Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha who was commissioned officer in 16th Corps Commander. After then, he succeeded in many achievements with his commander charged with in Yıldırım Armies Group Commander around Adana, Aleppo and Damascus. He accompanied Mustafa Kemal Pasha while they were returning to İstanbul after Yıldırım Armies Group Commandership had been disbanded. With Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha he went to the Anatolia and became one of the combatants who lighted a torch of national struggle. He resigned his military service with Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha. He elected from Bolu province as a deputy for the first Turkish Parliament. He played an important role in accepting National Pact. He kept his duty as a Bolu province deputy in Grand National Assembly of Turkey went into action in Ankara after the invasion of İstanbul. Cevat Abbas Gürer was a diplomat in Sofia on behalf of Grand National Assembly of Turkey and pulled out all the stops against enemy invasion. Mister Cevat Abbas, who was adjutant of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha the founder of Turkish Republic, passed away on the 4th of July in 1943.
