Abstract (EN)
The phenomeon of religion is also among the areas affected by the renaissance and reformation processes, which caused changes in many issues around the world. Secularization has become widespread, especially under the leadership of these two movements, but people's spiritual searches continue, and the new religious movements that have emerged in response to this have tried to meet these searches of people. Although new religious movements have emerged mostly in western countries, it is possible to find traces of them in Far East Asian countries, and the Falun Gong movement, which is the subject of the study, is one of them. Founded by Li Hongzhi, this movement became popular in China in a very short time and included approximately eighty million people. Currently banned in China; however it continues its activities in different parts of the world thanks to digital tools and conferences.
