Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, it was aimed to investigate the effects of zinc oxide nanoparticle (ZnO-NP) application, which was prepared with the green synthesis method developed in the light of nanotechnological developments, on the growth and Zn uptake of wheat. In the experiment established for this purpose, basic fertilizers and increasing doses (0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mg / kg) of ZnO-NP were applied to the soil in the form of suspension, except for the basic fertilizers and control group. After the application, wheat seeds were planted in pots and grown in controlled conditions for 7 weeks. The chlorophyll contents of the leaves were measured before harvesting and then dry weight and some elemental concentrations (Zn, N, Ca, P, Mg, K, Fe, Cu, Mn) of the plant samples were determined. The chlorophyll content of leaves and plant dry weight were positively affected by ZnO-NP applications compared to control, and the effect on chlorophyll content and dry weight of green parts was statistically significant at the level of 1 %. Application of Zinc Oxide NPs (ZnO-NPs) has led to an increase in zinc concentrations in plant tissues, and the results were found to be statistically significant at a 1 % level. Increasing doses of ZnO-NP applications had a statistically significant effect at a 5 % level on N, Ca, and Mg concentrations in wheat plants, while their effect on K, P, Cu, Fe, Mn concentrations was significant at a 1 % level.
