Abstract (EN)
The advancement of technology has positively affected geographic information technologies. By means of this of advancement and developments in interactive maps respectively, to be able to access the information became faster and easier for users. Within the scope of this study, an internet based interactive map has been developed by using open mines in Eskişehir province. Eskişehir province has an important and rich structure in terms of open mines. The application was based on mine site information, mine reserve information, MTA website and MTA's open source web services, geology formation, fault and magmatic rock maps. Using geographic information technologies, the data was edited and associated. As a result, a web-based application including open mines of Eskişehir, containing detailed information about mines, which users can access anytime, anywhere, has been developed. This study contributes to the web based interactive map applications, it is foreseen to be a sample web based application and to be used in scientific studies related to the subject.
