Abstract (EN)
COMPUTATIONAL ANALYSIS OF EFFECTS OF OPTICAL SOURCEHAVING RANDOM PHASE ON THE DATA TRANSFER IN FREE SPACEOPTICS SYSTEMSGüvenç, Ali BilgeThis study describes the effects of spatial random source phase and atmosphericturbulence on the laser intensity profile of a Free Space Optics system. Thework is done in two steps. First, effects of the received intensity variations isstudied for the speckle (in the absence of atmosphere), then atmosphericturbulence is introduced to simulation to examine the intensity profiles in theatmospheric optical link. At the end, the performance of an FSO system isexamined depending on these effects.
