In this practice, the term, `binary oppositions? is used and this term is comprehensively analyzed in this novel. In this chapter, the education system of America and Britain is discussed in the context of the novel, as well. As a matter of fact, the usage of the `binary oppositions? reveals not only the focus on the structuralist theory; but also, the double identity of David Lodge. The conclusion of this concept is that Changing Places is analyzed as the product of the doubleness of the structuralist theory and it is the realistic reflection of double identity of David Lodge.Key Words: Academic Novel, Binary Opposition, Campus, Structuralism, Satire.
