Abstract (EN)
The Covid-19 pandemic, which emerged in 2019, not only affected the whole world, but also shooked our country deeply. The pandemic has caused many social and economic problems, and in this context, it has led to the growing employment problems, especially in our country. Many countries in the world had to implement preventive measures against the pandemic, and some sectors and some employee groups were affected more than others by the measures taken. When the employment rates and labor force participation data for 2020 and 2021 are examined, it is seen that serious problems have arisen in the education sector. It is thought that the progress of this situation is caused by measures such as full closure and curfew in Turkey, as in many other countries. In this study, it examines the precariatization in the labor market during the Covid-19 process, the precarious employment in private education institutions and the working conditions of teachers during the pandemic. In the thesis, teachers' working conditions and precariousness are discussed within the framework of class analysis using critical social science methodology. In this direction, issues such as the difficulties faced by the education workers who are employed precarious in private education institutions during the pandemic process, the dimensions of the perception of distance education, partial employment and flexible working, and the uncertainty in the work-life boundaries are discussed. The study also focuses on teachers employed in private schools. The statistical data obtained in the research on teachers working in public and private schools, the information that emerged as a result of the literature review, were presented with a realistic and critical view within a certain historical context and conceptual background. Changes and transformations in the working conditions of teachers have been evaluated within the sociology of precarization.
