The comparison of the course 8th grade students? internal and external motivation and their academic achivements

The purpose of this study is to define students? internal and external motivation level, to test whether the difference between their internal and external motivation and academic success in terms of some variables and to compare their internal and external motivation and the academic successThe research is a descriptive one and survey method was used. The sample of this study is 308 students who are the eighth grade primary school students educated in 2011-2012 education year in four course İstanbul. According to the result of this study, there is a significant difference at 0,05 between the level internal and external motivation and the sample of eigth grade primary school students were found.Key Words: Internal Motivation, External Motivation, Academic Success, The Relations of Motivation.
