Abstract (EN)

The state began the new era with the release of the location of the Ottoman Empire, the Republic of Turkey has experienced two significant events happened to occupy. One of these is the Sheikh Said rebellion and the other is the Dersim rebellion. These two revolts need to be scrutinized in terms of both the reasons for their output and the repression methods and the results they produce. Because these rebellions unite in the Kurdish-Zaza identity, one is denominated in terms of sectarian Sunni and the other Alevi. Ottoman Empire's multi-lingual, multi-ethnic and multi-religious structure One issue that triggered the riots did not occur in the other as the Republic of Turkey is also the weakening of the nation-state structure look religious affiliation. The fight against the occupation and the struggle for independence against the occupation by the Ottoman Empire, defeated by the First World War, is a long period of time taken together with the Balkan war. In this period, the disruption of the state authority in Anatolia and the irregularities caused by uncontrollability and local power clusters emerged. Although it is necessary to take steps to establish state authority and establish the order, the degree of hit of the methods used is controversial. As a matter of fact, the differences in the approach in the intervention method at that time caused a change in the government. Dersim, which was the subject of this study, took its place in the administrative structure of the state during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II, but it was not mentioned until the Republic by a revolt. The Republican government, which is determined to establish the influence of the state in the whole country, has taken action to break the strength of the tribal leaders especially in the regions where the tribal structure is dominant. Dersim is in an important position in this respect. Because the Dersim tribes, which saw the policies of the central government as a threat to itself, started with disobedience, and the movement that turned into a rebellion resulted in the State's suppression by using military force. However, it is a fact that the Dersim family has continued its psycho-social effects in a part of the society. In this study, the process and the events that prepared Dersim were examined with reasons and results.
