Comparison of language and music in terms of meter: The work of Ulvi Cemal Erkin "Sinfonietta"

In this study conducted on the axis of language-music, the comparable subtopics of language and music are explained and then from these comparison areas, the rhythm and meter phenomena that constitute the main lines of the thesis are discussed. After the quantitative elements of the relationship between language and music are examined the thesis of the composer, who is a competent native speaker, in which the quantitative elements of that language in his works are included. As a result of the work carried out, such studies and literature in Turkey have been found to be very few. After the meter identity of Turkish of Turkey has been examined, "Sinfonietta" of Ulvi Cemal Erkin has been given as an example and meter analysis has been made by quantitative comparison method. As a result of the study, it is observed that the quantitative structural elements of the language have been encountered in the works of the composer who is a native speaker.
