Abstract (EN)
Technological and industrial developments increase the need for high-performance materials and new production methods. Advanced ceramic materials produced by additive manufacturing methods have the potential to meet this need. Although silicon carbide is used in many areas thanks to its low density, high hardness, toughness, and wear resistance, traditional production methods narrow the usage areas of this material. Silicon carbide material produced by additive manufacturing methods will be able to eliminate these restrictions. This thesis study, it is aimed to develop silicon carbide inks suitable for the direct ink writing method which is one of the additive manufacturing techniques. In this context, silicon carbide inks with a yield point at different solid content have been developed. It has been observed that the inks having a yield point range of 150- 300 Pa and a solid content range of %51-53 have been successfully printed. Optimum printing parameters have been determined by examining the ability of inks to support their weight after printing, and the connection of layers and filaments to each other. The parts produced with a 3D printer were dried, sintered, and their microstructure and density properties were examined. It has been demonstrated that silicon carbide inks can be produced by direct ink writing method.
