Evaluation the ocular blood flow parameters after intravitreal ranibizumab enjections

Abstract (EN)

Purpose: We aimed in our study to meassure ocular blood flow parameters in diabetic patients planning intravitreal ranibizumab therapy. Materials and Methods: 20 patients with suitable age and sex correlation diagnosed an diabetic retinopaty and intravitreal ranibizumab enjektions performed, were included in our study. Following routine eye examinations, peak systolic peak systolic velocity (PCV), end diastolic velocity (EDV) and resistive index (RI) were mesaured by examining the opthalmologic artery (OA), central retinal artery (CRA), posterior short ciliary artery (PSCA) with color doppler ultrasound. Measurements were repeated before the first enjection and after the first enjection and after the third anjections. The result were statistically compared. Results: Then, PSH and EDH volves of OA increased statically no difference were found. Following the third enjection RI was found decreased by comparing valve before the first enjectıon (p=0.011). all PSH measurument of CRA had minimal changes and statically unimportant. EDH measurement icreased after the third doses with comparing volve before the first measurement (p=0.048).RI measurement decreased after the third doses(p=0.044). SPCA volves of PSH and EDH increased (p=0.049, p=0.008), RI decreased(p=0.036). Conclusion: Calculating ocular blood flow with color doppler ultrasound , ıt was observed that hemodynamic changes may have animportant role on diabetes ethiopathogenesis.
