Abstract (EN)
In this research, the reduction of NOX emissions from diesel engines through urea SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) was examined in simulation analysis. European standard emission levels are constantly being tightened, which has placed high demands on the waste treatment system. In this thesis, the gas distribution resulting from the reaction of post-combustion gases with the urea-water-air mixture, pressure, temperature and gas flow rate before and after the catalyst were analyzed in the operation of the SCR system. The aim was to study the mixing of urea spray and exhaust gas in the mixing pipe through CFD simulations. The interaction between the spray and the turbulent flow field was studied.
