Abstract (EN)
Since our country is dependent on the outside in terms of energy resources, it is very important to use the energy efficiently at all stages from production to consumption. When the distribution of resources on the basis of Turkey's electricity installed capacity licensed is analyzed, it is seen that natural gas has reached 32.03% as of May 2018. In addition, natural gas consumption in 2017 was 53.5 billion m³. In response to the increasing demand for natural gas, efforts are continuing to diversify supply sources and routes and increase distribution networks. So, after removing the naturel gas from the source and various fractional works, it is delivered in the national and international network with the appropriate transmission pressure. Naturel gas is pressurized in compressor stations to prevent pressure drops caused by loses in the pipe and continues flowing along its route. Naturel gas, which is reduced to distribution pressure through city entrance stations and subjected to some measurement preporation procedures, reaches the end consumers following the distribution pressure reduction operations. The pressure losses are not recovered during these operations and the network reacles the pressure that needs. At the pressure reduction and measurement stations located on the natural gas transmission line, it is possible to recover the energy by the help of 'Turbo Gas Expander'. In this study; In case of using turbo-gas expander in pressure reducing and measuring stations in İzmir, electric energy production potential is examined and technical and economic analyses were carried out. According to these analyzes, stations that are economically feasible in terms of energy efficiency have been identified and also a selection chart that can be used in the stations of Turkey was done with some general acceptance.
