Abstract (EN)
The most important issue in natural gas distribution systems is to ensure safe and uninterrupted gas supply. For this reason, it is extremely important to constantly monitor and control the natural gas network. In the distribution of natural gas in the city network, there are regional regulators that undertake the distribution task in the regions. Natural gas flow comes to these regional regulators after the city entrance stations. From here, it spreads to the streets of the neighborhood and reaches the end users. To ensure uninterrupted gas supply, these regional regulators are loop-connected with each other in many regions. In other words, there is a network network structure. In this case, natural gas may come to a region from one or several different regional regulators at the same time. In order to manage this situation correctly, measuring the amount of gas passing through regional regulators becomes important. In this study; An orifice meter measurement equipment was designed with local and national resources in order to measure and control the gas passing through the regional regulators. With the revisions made to the zone regulator, the zone regulator has become suitable for the installation of ultrasonic meter type measuring equipment, which is in compliance with the standards to be compared with orifice meter measuring equipment. This established system was integrated with the remote processing SCADA system installed in the regional regulator and all results of the work were recorded instantly. During approximately one year of study, experiments were carried out at different flow rates, under real flow, at different traction flow rates according to seasonal conditions, and the measurement results were recorded. Throughout this study, measurement results obtained from orifice meter and ultrasonic meter type meters were compared in the light of the data obtained in both experimental and theoretical studies.
