Arrangement of yield tables for brutia pine (Pinus brutia ten. ) stand types and the use facilities of them in forest management activities of regional forests located in state-owned of the Eastern and Western Mediterranean forest regions

SUMMARY Arrangement of Yield Tables for brutia Pine (Hnus brutia Ten.) Stand Types and The Use Facilities of Them in Forest Management Activities of Regional Forests Located in State-Owned of The Eastern and Western Mediterranean Forest Regions. The aim of this study was to arrange yield tables of stand type (empirical yield table) for existing Brutian Pine stand types and the using facilities in management activities to be carried out in natural distribution of the species in the Eastern and Western Mediterranean Forest Regions. In order to realize this, randomized data related to growing stock and increment for all of sampled stands of Adana, Mersin, Antalya and Muğla Regional Forests have been used obtained from sampled stand types of those regional forests indicated above. For this reason, the stand types have been classified into tree site classes in the study. In this context, from each regional forty sample plots selected by using of inventory sheets data of these regional forests. The sample plots selection from each regional forests has been taken into consideration to represent the actual structure of the forests. In addition, by using the data related growing stock and increment tables of regional forest, the growing stock, volume, and increment of the different site classes of each stand types have been determined. After this evaluation, yield tables of stand types of regional forest has been arranged. The arranged yield tables of the stand types for each site class, compared with each other as to their volume and increment values. On the other hand, the yield tables of stand types in same site classes have been compared with between the regional forest. As well, the different site classes compared with the same stand type within a regional forest. In the same time, the comparison of mixed and pure stand types which are in the developing stage has been compared for each different site classes within the regional forest. In addition, for checking of comparison the differences between the arranged yield tables and stand types of forest regions, 263 sample plots have been sampled in Anamur Forest Enterprise. According to final evaluation, it is found that there are not any statistically differences between the same yield tables of the stand types from stand points of volume and increment values in the regional forests. But, it is determined that these are significant differences in both between the mixed and pure stands of the site classes of the stand types which one in the developing stage. WFinally, the arranged yield tables of the stand types is advisable to use for growing stock inventory, especially in the stand which one in the tending stage. In addition it could be recommended the findings provided by this study, are more practicable, economical and safe than today's practice used in the Turkey's forestry. At the same time, the finding could be used in estimation of volume and increment values in regeneration areas.
